You think yours is one of the Best Home Gyms in Town?
Because it has the long-lasting attraction and power to motivate you to exercise?
Or because it's one that's coined with the most alluring power to put you on your toes to exercise?
Which one?
You'll know after you read my idea of "home gym".....
So, you've decided to start a home toning exercise program , complete with one of your dream home gyms you can get your hands on?
Wait!
Before you even consider the idea of a home gym, I want to say this first.
You see, a home gym - and if you ever dream of having the best home gyms possible, means there'll be significant money plucked out of your pocket, to invest in the set up.
Because of this, you really need to consider your exercise and fitness needs, your time, available space in your home and your budget to determine how serious you're committing to a home workout program.
And be honest with yourself about how motivated you'll be to exercise at home before you make the investment! Lots of people set up their so called "best home gyms", then never use them.....So, what's the point?
Don't mind telling you I was in this category once!
OK, if you're cleared about your intention and motivation to do toning exercise program at home, then let's carry on.
Best Home Gyms for New Beginner in Exercise?
If you're just starting out to exercise, there's really no hurry for you to set up a home gym now. You can start with the basics and later on add to your collection a piece at a time.
"Rocking" or not, all these things cost, well, below $200, may be? That's economy - if you've a shoestring budget.
Or is this still beyond your budget?
Well, start with the really basic ones: shoes, dumbbells, exercise mat and a heart rate monitor. You add in the other items like exercise ball and exercise band when you're ready for exercises using these items.
I start out this way, and I think I've got one of the "best home gyms" I can be proud of and the best home toning workout that gives me results.....
Best Home Gyms for the Novice in Exercise?
If you have been exercising for quite some time now, you might want to add in a few pieces of exercise equipments , one at a time, to help in your workout.
You know, you'll do just fine without the equipment, but equipment does help and enhance your workouts.
Anyway, exercise equipments don't come cheap at all, so before you invest in any piece, consider carefully these upfront issues:
What's your budget?
It's true you get what you pay for. Reliable, good quality equipment that you know will work for years to come, will cause a dent in your pocket.
If you aim for good quality equipment but it's not in your budget, don't go for low quality stuff that's not in tip-top condition (in the event will cause you injury as well!) and that'll quickly wear out.
Instead, you can consider purchasing used equipment from a reputable dealer who offers a warranty.
Your space
Does the space or room you've reserved and designated as home gym has sufficient room to house the equipment you want to buy? A treadmill, for instance, would require more or less a 30 square ft. space.
Are you sufficiently motivated by the equipment?
Make sure whatever equipment you buy will keep you motivated. The activity you choose to do using the equipment should be enjoyable as well as challenging and you should be able to increase the resistance, incline or duration.
Don't rush out to buy a treadmill simply because your best friend has got a piece in her house - this ain't gonna help you one bit if you absolutely hate treadmill-based exercises !
OK, you're cleared with these upfront issues?
Then we can talk about getting one of the "best home gyms" for you.
Well, I would recommend a multigym, which is safer to use since you're exercising on you own, unsupervised.
First off, a multigym has several exercise stations built into one single piece and it does enhance your workouts.
It isn't cheap though - can easily cost you $1,000 upwards for a good quality one.
Before purchasing the multigym, you'd want to consider the following factors:
Its design and features
Its safety, serviceability and other appropriate features
It's adjustable, easy to learn how to use it and your body able to move along with it in a correct and safe manner
Parts are easily removed and replaced, and moving parts lattice well
No design flaws or weaknesses that could increase your risk of injury
If you don't want the multigym, do like me....
Slowly add in one by one my piece of equipment into my collection....to make my dream of owning one of the best home gyms in town......a step closer....
May be first a treadmill, then an exercise bike, and later on an elliptical machine....
Hey, one more thing, be comfortable with the equipment you want to add to your home gym. If you don't, you're going to loathe it and avoid exercising on it!
That sure is a NO, NO thing to do!
The Buzz Word is - Maximize use of your Home Gym
My take is that you can have the best home gyms in town but if you're not going to use the home gym to exercise, you aren't going anywhere with your plan of exercising at home......
So, first thing is to buck up and get going!
Don't let your home gym lie idle and you yourself still not shaped up....
Rock your home gym, man.....
Psssst.....
Don't you have one of the bests in town?
Use it to the fullest to rock your body!
I do with mine!
