Ectomorph Exercise Workout

I`m curious on the ectomorph exercise workout since I`m in that category.

I want to ask these questions:

1. When I do cardio exercises do I include stretch exercises?

I find that the last stage of the toning workout also requires stretching, so in total I need to do 2 sessions of stretch exercises (as one in the cardio routine and one after the whole toning program)

2. In my exercise program, I`m supposed to do cardio, toning and stretching exercises in orderly manner in one day?

My Answer

Answer to Question 1

Yes, you need to do some simple stretching, say about 3 -5 minutes, after your cardio workout, to promote flexibility and to prevent muscle injury.

Yes, you also need to do stretching after your toning program. However, this time round, your stretching would be one that targets either at your whole body or at major muscle groups which you use in your toning program.

This stretching is the more elaborate type, which you take time to do - to relax and to lose tension in your muscle, in addition to promoting muscle flexibility and preventing muscle injury.

Answer to Question 2

Yes, you can choose to workout like that.

But really there's no rule to say that you can't do something different, such as:

-Do cardio exercise only on Monday

-Do both cardio & toning exercises plus stretching on Tuesday

-Do toning exercise & stretching on Wednesday

Or other combinations of these 3 main exercise components - cardio exercise, toning exercise & stretching.

As long as you get to workout the recommended amount of exercise for ectomorph, it's a fine deal.
