Exercise And Aging - Exercise Slows Down Your Aging Process, Keeps You Stay Younger-Looking, Longer..........

There's a tight relationship between exercise and aging.

This has been confirmed by research after research, study after study - they've all come to the same conclusive finding that exercise does slow down aging process.

And I don't mean just toning exercise .....

Cardio exercise and strength training - they too do the same honor of slowing down your aging process!

So do you think exercise helps in slowing down your aging process?

OK. Every one ages. That's a natural biological process that's beyond our ability to defy.

But there's one natural way to slow down your aging process.

Exercise.

I'm sure if you exercise regularly, you would have already sampled that slow-down in aging process.... right now.

Let's see - you would have more energy, your skin's clearer and smoother, your movement's more agile, your brain's sharper, your body's firmer, your internal sytem more in order and your health in supreme condition.....

If that's not sign of improved body vigor and youth, then what is?

Exercise does slow down your aging process, keep you stay younger-looking, longer.

Research and study find that the 2 of them are related, in many ways:

  • Exercise is a great anti-aging tool
  • When you exercise, your brain will naturally release the Human Growth Hormone (HGH) whose main function is to keep your growth function active. You'll not grow old easily

  • Exercise keeps Alzheimer's disease at bay
  • Research shows that exercise encourages healthier brains to function at their optimum levels. It prompts nerve cells to multiply, strengthens their connections, and protects them from harm, such as Alzheimer's disease.

  • Exercise promotes and maintains good memory
  • Based on exercise and health data from nearly 5,000 men and women over 65 years of age, those who exercised were less likely to lose their mental abilities or develop dementia, including Alzheimer's disease.

A 5-year study at the Laval University in Sainte-Foy, Quebec suggests that the more a woman exercises, the greater the protective benefits for her brain.

Exercise And Aging - Exercise Brings Increased Longevity?

Right. That got your attention, didn't it?

There're a few researches conducted to find out whether exercise could increase a person's longevity.

One study, the Harvard Alumni Study which was based on 17,000 middle aged Harvard graduates over a period of 26 years, concluded that those who actively exercised (swimming, cycling, jogging or play sports) had a 25% lower death rate than those who were more sedentary or who engaged in "less intense" activities such as golfing, bowling and strolling.

So, from here you can see that exercise could indeed be your true "fountain of youth"!

Exercise And Aging - Exercise Brings Increased Ability To Neutralise Free Radicals?

Our body, as a result of metabolic processes, produces free radicals. These free radicals greatly increase during strenuous exercise, exposure to environmental factors (including sun), and during times of stress.

Our body have systems to buffer and combat these molecules, but it appears that these protection systems become less effective as we age, making us more vulnerable to their effects and to aging.

The 2 important tools we've for preventing the increased free radical damage associated with aging are exercise and nutrition.

Exercise reduces the normal loss of our body's free radical fighting antioxidant systems. It also can help to reverse some of these losses.

Also, a balanced nutritional diet rich in vitamins A, C and E and in fruits and vegetables where naturally occurring antioxidants are found, will likely fight the increased free radical damage as we age.

Exercise And Aging - Exercise Results In Decreased Risk of Diseases?

Regular exercise has been shown conclusively to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, high blood pressure , diabetes , osteoporosis and depression .

It also enhances our fitness, strength, flexibility, and body composition, and contributes greatly to an improved quality of life.
