Get a Good Grip of what is Cellulite
Right, where was I?
Oh yeah, exercise for cellulite......
By the way, do you know what is cellulite?
In case you don't, I'll try to give you a simple and easy definition.
In the true medical sense (Ho....Ho...Ho....talk like a doctor, aren't I?), cellulite is simply fat. It has one specific characteristic - a dimpled, cottage-cheese, orange-peel lumpy appearance.
The lumpy appearance is due to you (and I) having connective tissue that separates our fat cells into compartments.
For us ladies, our compartments have a honeycomb appearance, giving fat a greater chance to reside there, hence the dimpled, cottage-cheese, orange-peel effect.
Cellulite is predetermined by genetics so even thin women can develop cellulite. Factors such as hormones, pregnancy, and aging may all contribute to the weakening of your collagen fibers to give you cellulite.
You'll normally find cellulite in areas of your body such as your thighs, hips and butts.
OK, you got the main gist of what's cellulite?
Ah huh...and FAT is the culprit!
So what do you do about cellulite, if you got it?
And what do you do about cellulite, if you don't have it or haven't G...O..T... it yet?
There's really not a lot you can do to get rid of cellulite once you got it.
However, exercise and weight control can go a long way to prevent the problem and keep it from getting worse than it already is.
What Exercise for Cellulite?
You know, the one you can do to help control the problem of cellulite?
Oily and refined foods tend to raise your body's fat level. If you're overweight, it can significantly contribute to your cellulite problem.
The more fat tissue in your body, the more places there're for water and waste products to collect.
If you smoke, have poor eating habits and stress, removal of wastes from your body will also slow down.
All these tend to give chance for fat to accumulate and for cellulite to form.
So eat healthier food and quit smoking.
In this site, I show you toning exercise program which includes all the above exercise components. Follow each through, you'll benefit a lot from it.
Basically, in dealing with cellulite, what you're battling with is the FAT that's deposited in your body.
Exercise is thus considered as effective in helping to burn off your fat, hence reduce your cellulite.
Exercise for Cellulite - Exercise Burns off Fat
When you exercise, your body burns up to 15 times more calories than when you're sitting down.
Even after you've exercised, your body continues burning calories 6 to 10 times faster for up to 12 hours.
You'll lose weight as well as gain muscle mass, which in turn causes your body to burn more calories.
Your muscle is a metabolically active tissue so the more it's used the more calories are burned.
It can also make your cellulite less noticeable as it stops the septa (i.e. fibers of collagen that run through your fat cells) pulling down on the skin.
Exercise for Cellulite - Exercise Stimulates Blood Circulation
When you exercise, it stimulates your blood circulation. At least 5 times more blood flows through your arteries and veins when you work out.
It also helps boost your lymph flow which in turn expedites the discharge of wastes, toxins, proteins, viruses, bacteria and excess water from your connective tissue.
Faster blood circulation and improved lymphatic system will certainly leave smaller room for fat to deposit in your body.
