Heart Attack Symptoms In Women....... They're Different From Men's.........
The Difference I'm dead honest here - we ladies don't know that the heart attack symptoms in women can be significantly different from those of men. You know? Kudos for you! Studies show that we can have new or different physical symptoms up to a month before heart attack strikes. And if you think that chest pain or discomfort is one of the most common heart attack symptoms in women, you're in for a surprise..... Because you may or may not have chest pain or discomfort prior to the attack and may not have chest pain during any phase of the attack. This is not to say that chest pain is not a heart attack symptom for women - it still is. It's just that we ladies experience less of it prior to or during the attack, according to the studies. Not only heart attack symptoms in women are different from men's, more and more evidence shows that women's symptoms aren't as predictable as men's too. Because of this, I wanna help you out in the subject - that you know as many symptoms as possible that could indicate heart attack so you don't miss the earliest possible chance to prevent or ease the attack.....and to forestall heart disease.

OK, let's look at "Prior to Attack" PhaseIn this phase, the major heart attack symptoms in women are: - Unusual fatigue
- Sleep disturbance
- Shortness of breath
- Indigestion
- Anxiety
- Nausea and vomiting that won’t stop
- Heart palpitations
- Breathlessness (but not sighing) with exertion or especially if it wakes you up at night
- Edema--fluid retention and swelling usually of the ankles or lower legs
- Discomfort in lower jaw especially if it occurs only with exertion or will not go away
- Discomfort in the upper back especially if it occurs only with exertion or will not go away
- Discomfort in the chest or back that occurs when doing usual chores after a large meal
- Sudden racing heart sensation with a very fast pulse
- Sudden loss of consciousness
- Sense of impending doom
- Unable to do usual household chores
In some cases, symptoms like palpitations, fluid retention and sleep disturbance might possibly be symptoms of perimenopause. One more thing - heart disease usually goes along with inflammation. So, it's good to monitor inflammation symptoms too as a helpful way to assess your risk of heart attack. Some major inflammation symptoms to look for: - Elevated levels of CRP, homocysteine, or LDL
- High blood pressure
- Insulin resistance or diabetes
- Joint pain or arthritis
- Headaches
- GI distress, bloating, constipation/diarrhea
- Ulcer/heartburn
- Food and other allergies/sensitivities
- Chronic respiratory difficulties, asthma, or bronchitis
- Dry, itchy skin, rash, psoriasis or eczema
- Weight gain/obesity
- Fever or chronic infection

Now, let's look at "During the Attack" PhaseIn this phase, major heart attack symptoms are: - Shortness of breath
- Weakness
- Unusual fatigue
- Cold sweat
- Dizziness

Who's Most at Risk? When comes to these heart attack symptoms in women? Well, if you're: - post-menopausal
- obese
- Smoking
- Having high blood pressure
- Having family history of arteriosclerotic heart disease before age 60
- Having diabetes
- Having high cholesterol
, then you're most at risk......
The more of these factors that apply to you, the greater your risk of heart attack......

Causes of Heart Attack In fact while you're at this, have a good grasp on what causes heart attack , to get a complete understanding on heart attack........ I hope I'm not scaring you with all these heart attack symptoms in women! What I hope - that you do know enough of the symptoms to to seek treatment immediately, to ease the attack. If you're experiencing symptoms that could be signal of a heart attack, call your doc or an ambulance immediately. Don't ever drive to the doc or hospital yourself since your heart could stop during the journey and there won't be anyone around to revive you. Above all, don't delay treatment because the longer a heart attack goes untreated, the more badly damaged your heart will be. And to prevent heart attack? I still go back to the dear old combo of (cardio) exercise and a healthy, well-balanced, nutritious diet ........ Of course, if you smoke, quit it! If you're overweight or obese, lose the lbs!
