How to Make my Shoulder Smaller?
After doing yoga, I realized that my shoulder, arms, thighs are getting bigger... They don't appear to be a slimmer as I have expected. So could you give me some recommendations on this?
Well, you can't make your shoulder (or your arms and thighs) smaller.
However, you can strengthen all 3 of them by doing muscle strengthening exercises:
1. That sculpt and firm up the muscles in these 3 areas
2. That build lean muscle mass into your shoulder, arms and thighs, which has the effect of compactness and firmness and hence give leaner forms and shapes
3. That give you muscles that are metabolically active, meaning they enable you to burn off fat calories while you're at rest and when you're going about doing your daily activities.
Hence, the more lean muscle mass you build into your body, it follows that the more calories you'll burn off, to lose the fat in your shoulders, arms and thighs
Try out the shoulder , arms, and thigh routines, to help you there.
Do these routines 3-4 times per week for say 10-15 minutes per session. You should see results in about 6 - 8 weeks.
And if you throw in a cardio exercise routine, it'll help you even more in slicing off the excess fat in these 3 areas.
This is because cardio exercise is the most powerful and direct way to hike up your metabolism to higher levels, to enable you to burn off excess fat from your entire body (which of course includes excess fat in your shoulders, arms and thighs), to lose the fat and weight, making these 3 areas appear slimmer and sleeker.
Cardio at least 3-4 times per week for at least 30 minutes per session. Walking, running, swimming, biking, dancing, jogging......are all good exercises you can do.
For your information, Yoga is more for stretching. It's not for muscle strengthening and for building lean muscle mass.
